PURPOSE: To aim at miniaturizing an air conditioning equipment of floor installation type, by utilizing the space in a vehicle coupling section to suck the outside air into and discharge air from the passenger's compartment.

CONSTITUTION: Air conditioning equipments 2 are installed such that the openings of suction and discharge ports 13, 12 at the outside of the rear face chambers of the air conditioning equipments 2 each set on the floor of the coupling part of each vehicle are coupled with openings 12', 13' formed at the coupling end face side of the other vehicle 1. A partition hood 15 is provided outside of a coupling hood 14 in the vehicle coupling section such that the openings 12', 13' are vertically partitioned from each other. Further, an outer hood 16 is provided along the lateral surfaces of the vehicles between the corner sections of the latter. With this arrangement, the air conditioning equipment is miniaturized, and therefore, neither discharge air nor operating sound is emitted to a platform.
