To provide an air conditioning and power generating system capable of improving heating capability at heating operation time and suppressing rise of output voltage of a power generator even when a load rate of an engine is abruptly reduced.
This system is provided with a compressor 12 driven by the engine 10, an air conditioner having an outdoor heat exchanger, a pressure reducing device, and an indoor heat exchanger, the power generator 11 driven by the engine 10, an inverter 33 connected with an output side of the power generator 11, a heater 23 connected with an output side of the inverter 33 and provided in a circulation path for cooling water of the engine, and a heat exchanger 31 for exchanging heat between cooling water heated by the heater 23 and refrigerant returning into the compressor 12. The refrigerant is heated by cooling water in the heat exchanger 31.
