To provide an air conditioning system capable of preventing theft of an outdoor unit at low costs.
The air conditioning system includes an indoor unit 1, an outdoor unit 2, a separation detecting cable 8 that connects between the indoor unit 1 and the outdoor unit 2, an energizing portion (for example, power source portion 21 and resistance 23) allowing electric current to flow to the separation detecting cable 8 regardless of an operation state or an operation stop state of the air conditioning system in a state of the air conditioning system and an external power source being connected to each other, and a notifying portion (for example, current detecting portion 22, control portion 24 and separation notifying portion 25) detecting presence or absence of disconnection of the separation detecting cable 8 on the basis of the electric current flowing to the separation detecting cable 8, and notifying that the outdoor unit 2 is physically separated from the air conditioning system when the disconnection of the separation detecting cable 8 is detected. The notifying portion is disposed in the outdoor unit 1.
