PURPOSE: To prepare a polyester resin compositin giving a coating film having improved physical properties even by the thick coating, by compounding an unsaturated alkyd resin prepared from cis-3-methyl-4-cyclohexene-cis, cis-1, 2-dicarboxylic acid and a specific alcohol, etc., with a vinyl monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester resin compositin comprising (I) an unsaturated alkyd resin prepared from (A) cis-3-methyl-cyclohexene-cis, cis-1,2-dicarboxylic acid or its anhydride, (B) a reactive unsaturated acid, (C) an aromatic, aliphatic or alicyclic saturated acid, and (D) an alcolol, wherein the amount of at least trifunctional polyhydric alcohols or polycarboxylic acids is 1-50 equivalent % on the basis of the above alcohol or acid, and (II) a reactive vinyl monomer.
EFFECT: Since the composition contains an alkyd resin having branched molecular structure, it can be thick coated without wrinkling
