Abstract:
To provide an air electrode capable of obtaining excellent battery characteristics.SOLUTION: A metal-air battery 1 comprises an air electrode 10 having: a collector 13; a catalyst layer 12; and a water-repellent film 11. When a contact angle against water after one second from the landing of a droplet in the catalyst layer 12 is defined as a, and a contact angle against water after 60 seconds from the landing of the droplet in the catalyst layer 12 is defined as b, the contact angle of the catalyst layer 12 is a≤135° and a-b≥10°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
