To provide a compact apparatus for making cold water and hot water wherein reliability of a refrigeration cycle is assured and efficiency enhanced.
An air heat source type heat pump apparatus comprises a compressor 1, an air heat exchanger 2, a blower 8, a plate heat exchanger 3, an expansion device 5, a refrigerant quantity regulator 7 and the like; and blows upwards by means of the blower. The air heat exchanger, the plate heat exchanger, the refrigerant flow rate regulator and the expansion device are respectively connected with a bridge circuit constituted of check valves. An electronic expansion valve is used as the expansion device. The air heat exchanger is equipped with a supercooler. The inlet of the supercooler is connected with the outlet of the regulator. The outlet of the supercooler is connected with the inlet side of the electronic valve.
