Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid damage to a heat transfer pipe by reducing a temperature difference generated on an outer surface of the heat transfer pipe.
SOLUTION: This air heater 1 is provided with a heat transfer outer pipe 12 sealed on an end and a heat transfer inner pipe 14 with an open end set inside the heat transfer outer pipe 12. The air heater 1 is provided with the heat transfer pipe 10 with a double pipe structure in which air to be heated flows through a gap formed between an inner surface of the heat transfer outer pipe 12 and the outer surface of the heat transfer inner pipe 14. The heat transfer pipe 10 is disposed in a cantilever manner having its end as a free end in an atmosphere of exhaust combustion gas vertically flowing upward, and a coating material 22 having a heat insulating property is applied on the outer surface of the heat transfer pipe 10 in a upstream side of the exhaust combustion gas. Accordingly the temperature difference generated on the outer surface of the heat transfer pipe 10 can be reduced.
