PURPOSE: To sufficiently correspond to weight even when various kinds of apparatuses of an air intake system are joined to a ring surge tank by mutually and integrally joining neighbouring independent air intake pipes to each other, integrally joining the independent air intake pipes on one end side in the cylinder row direction to a communicating pipe and connecting a throttle valve body to the communicating pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A plural number of independent air intake pipes P (P1, P2) extending inward are connectively provided on each of surge tanks 11, 12. The neighbouring independent air intake pipes P1, P2 are mutually and integrally joined to each other in the state where the independent air intake pipe P1 extending from the one surge tank 11 and the independent air intake pipe P2 extending from the other surge tank 12 are reciprocally positioned roughly in a central part between both of the surge tanks 11, 12. In the meantime, at least the independent air intake pipe P positioned at one end side in the cylinder row E1 direction is integrally joined to communicating pipes 13, 14, and a throttle valve body 3 is connected to this communicating pipe 14 on the one end side. Consequently, a joint part is reinforced, rigidity is improved and support rigidity of the throttle valve body 3 is improved.
