Abstract:
To provide an air jet loom reed that enables an air efficiency to be improved and a weft transportation to be stabilized.SOLUTION: An air jet loom reed 1 comprises: multiple reed splits 5, which have concavity constituting a guiding passage 4 for weft 2; a main nozzle 6, which transports the weft 2 to the guiding passage 4; and a sub-nozzle 3, which injects air toward the weft 2 transported through the guiding passage 4 and performs weft insertion of the weft 2. The concavity opens laterally. The sub-nozzle 3 is disposed on the open side of the concavity. The reed split 5 has an upper jaw part constituting an upper wall surface of the guiding passage 4 and a lower jaw part constituting the lower wall surface of the guiding passage 4. For the reed split 5, projection height of the lower jaw parts of multiple reed splits 5 are partly smaller than others.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
