Title:
AIR-MOTOR DRIVEN UNDERWATER WORK MACHINE, METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME, SUBAQUEOUS BOTTOM CLEANING DEVICE USING THE UNDERWATER WORK MACHINE, AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE CLEANING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3806761
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-motor driven underwater work machine which automatically travels on a subaqueous bottom, is easily remote-controllable, small in size, light in weight, and carries out cultivation, agitation, and aeration of the subaqueous bottom, to thereby improve a subaqueous environment, and to provide a method of operating the underwater work machine, a subaqueous bottom cleaning device using the same, and a method of operating the cleaning device.
SOLUTION: According to the air-motor driven underwater work machine, the method of operating the same, the subaqueous bottom cleaning device using the underwater work machine, and method of operating the cleaning device, the underwater work machine is driven by compressed air. Therefore even if the machine is damaged, only air leaks in the water, which does not contaminate the subaqueous environment. Further the machine can be controlled by operation of a simple device such as a valve from above a mother ship. Furthermore the simple structure of the machine contributes to improvement in waterproofing function of the machine by virtue of employment of compressed air, and the compressed air thus employed is discharged from the machine as minute bubbles, which contributes to efficient improvement in the subaqueous soil environment in cooperation with a cultivator and an agitator. Further the underwater work machine is simple in structure, light in weight, and economical, and therefore it can be used for a wide range of applications.
