Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of a combustible gas explosion risk through reduction of penetration of air to the inner side of a furnace by a method wherein a super purge line in which inactive gas is fed during opening of a door and a governor line to feed inactive gas so that the pressure in the furnace is adjusted to a value equal to the atmospheric pressure.
SOLUTION: An inactive gas flow passage from an inactive container 14 is branched in a spot, on the downstream side of a pressure switch 17, into a super purge line A and a governor line B. One super purge line A is connected to a front camber 2 of a furnace 30 through a flow rate switch 18, a flow rate regulating valve 19, and a solenoid valve 20, and inactive gas is fed by an opening signal generated during opening of a front door 1. Further, the governor line B has one end connected between a pressure switch 17 and a switch 18 and the other end is joined with the super purge line A and connected to a front chamber 2 and inactive gas is fed to a front chamber 2 during closing of the door 1 so that the pressure in the furnace 30 is adjusted to a value equal to the atmospheric pressure.
