To provide a compact, light, and long lasting air purifier capable of spraying microwaterdroplets containing a large amount of ions, which offers excellent effects in deodorizing, removing bacteria, sterilizing, mildew protection, and removing an allergen.
The air purifier is characterized in that it comprises a hollow thin nozzle 6 made of an electrically conductive material and having a perforating hole as a liquid flow channel, whose tip's cross section on a liquid outlet side is squared with a discharging direction of water 3, a container 2 to store the water 3 therein, a small pump 5 to push the water 3 stored in the container 2 out, a water channel 4 to convey the water 3 pushed out by the pump 5, a thin nozzle 6 to spray the water 3 conveyed through the water channel 4, a ring-shaped counter electrode 7 provided so that it could be on a concentric circle of the nozzle 6 and its center could be in front of the tip of the nozzle 6, and a voltage applying part 8 to apply high voltage between the nozzle 6 and the counter electrode 7, which enables to apply high voltage to the nozzle 6 and the counter electrode 7, and to miniaturize the droplets 10 sprayed from the tip of the nozzle 6.
