Abstract:
To provide a continuous steel material heating furnace and an air ratio control method thereof capable of controlling an air ratio for every combustion control band to an appropriate air ratio with high accuracy, so as to adjust the oxygen concentration in exhaust gas to an appropriate value.SOLUTION: A continuous steel material heating furnace 1 comprises: at least one oxygen concentration detector 28 for sucked exhaust gas for detecting the oxygen concentration in the sucked exhaust gas, provided to a sucked exhaust gas main pipe 27 collecting the sucked exhaust gas of each of combustion control zones 3, 4, 5, 6 having heat storage type switching combustion burners 10; an oxygen concentration detector 9 for furnace tail exhaust gas for detecting the oxygen concentration in the furnace tail exhaust gas, provided at a downstream portion of the most downstream side combustion control band 3 in the exhaust gas flow of a furnace body 2; and an air ratio control part 30 controlling the air ratio for each of the combustion control bands 3, 4, 5, 6, on the basis of the detection value of the oxygen concentration detector 28 for sucked exhaust gas and the detection value of the oxygen concentration detector 9 for furnace tail exhaust gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
