Abstract:
To provide an air bag device for a driver's seat capable of preferably receiving and protecting the driver close to an air bag that inflates.SOLUTION: Provided is an air bag device, in which an air bag 30 that can inflates while protecting a driver is folded and stored in a boss part of a steering wheel. An outer peripheral wall 31 of the air bag comprises: a vehicle body side wall part 32 with an inflation gas inlet opening 34, supported by a ring part; and a driver side wall part 39. The air bag is folded so as to narrow the longitudinal and lateral width dimension of an initially folded body 78A, and forms a completely folded body to be stored. Below a front edge 61a side of the driver side wall part that flatly expands, the initially folded body has a front edge side location 55 of the vehicle body side wall part, and a folded part 65 folded into a rear side, and it also has a front edge location 62 of the driver side wall part that continues to the folded part, and a folded part 76A folded to a front end part 53 side of the vehicle body side part extending from the inlet opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
