To provide an airbag device for a pedestrian capable of stably and quickly inflating an airbag, even in a constitution stored in a storage part arranged in the central vicinity in the lateral direction on the front end side of a vehicle, by being folded up so as to shorten a lateral width dimension.
In this airbag device for the pedestrian, the airbag 28 has an installed inflating part 30 and a protective inflating part 35. The installed inflating part 30 inflates so as to be filled in the storage part. The protective inflating part 35 is juxtaposed with cells 36 and 40. The respective cells 36 and 40 have central side inflating parts 37 and 41 and end side inflating parts 38L. 38R, 42L and 42R extending from the central side inflating parts 37 and 41. A first communicating hole 48 communicated with the installed inflating part 30 is arranged in the central side inflating part 41 of the cell 40, and the mutual cells 37 and 41 are communicated by a second communicating hole 49. The second communicating hole 49 is arranged in an area of the central side inflating parts 37 and 41.
