Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag for a pedestrian that can easily secure preferable waterproofness and inflate quickly an airbag.SOLUTION: An airbag device M for a pedestrian is mounted on a back side near a rear end 10c of a hood panel 10. A case 28 is made of synthetic resin. An inflator 40 comprises an attachment portion 41a that penetrates through a bottom wall 30 of the case 28 and extends downward. An airbag 45 is folded and stored behind the inflator 40. In the hood panel 10 is arranged a supporting member 11 extending near a position just below the inflator 40. The supporting member 11 attaches and fastens the inflator 40 to the bottom wall 30 using the attachment portion 41a of the inflator 40. In the case 28, a fracture scheduled portion 34 is arranged near an upper end of a rear wall 32 and a hinge portion 35 that rotatably deflects the rear wall 32 and the bottom wall 30 downward is arranged near a rear edge of a site fixed to the supporting member 11 of the bottom wall 30.
