To provide an airbag device for reducing its installation work time, by firmly holding an outer peripheral part and a peripheral edge part of an airbag by a holding part in installation work of the airbag.
This airbag device includes a holding member 14 for restraining inflation-deployment in the airbag side surface direction by holding the airbag 10 in a folded-up storage state, and a gas straightening member 12' for straightening and guiding gas generated from an inflator 30 up to the vicinity of a part for inflating in the initial stage of deploying the airbag 10. A substantially circular rupture expected part 14k composed of perforations of rupturing by gas pressure generated from the inflator 30, is formed in a substantially central part corresponding to the inflating part of the airbag 10 of the holding member 14. The perforations of the substantially circular rupture expected part 14k are longer in a cut line than a joint, and the joint is formed in a position divided into four equal parts on its substantially circular shape.
