Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device which can be miniaturized and inexpensively manufactured.SOLUTION: An airbag device includes: a front airbag 15 which has a bag-like front airbag body section 31 which is deployed to the front of a seated occupant A by introducing gas from a folded state; and a second side airbag 23 which has a bag-like second side airbag body section 41 which is deployed to the side of a region below a head A5 of the seated occupant A by introducing gas from a folded state. Each of the front airbag body section 31 and the second side airbag body section 41 is deployed by impact S3 from an oblique direction. The second side airbag body section 41 guides the region below the head A5 of the occupant A directed in the oblique direction to the front airbag body section 31 by the deployment. Since binding force of the front airbag 15 can be effectively utilized, the second side airbag body section 41 deployed at a small degree can be used, and the airbag device can be miniaturized and inexpensively manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
