Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag and an air bag device in which an occupant who approaches a steering or an instrument panel is considered.SOLUTION: Gas from an inflator 2 flows into a space 40 between a first bag 10 and a second bag 20 and pushes the second bag 20. Most of the gas in the space 40 flows to a side part of an air bag 1 from a gap 41. A part of the gas in the space 40 passes a central opening 15 and flows into the first bag 10, and gradually expands the first bag 10, and passes an outlet head 16 and an inflow port 26 and gradually expands the second bag 20. A tether 30 tenses the vicinity of the central opening 15, and a second panel 12 is moved closer to an occupant side than to the inflator 2. Therefore, gas from the inflator 2 flows into the first bag 10 directly, for expanding the first bag 10 and second bag 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
