To provide an air-conditioner for an aircraft capable of preventing any increase of the concentration of carbon dioxide while suppressing discharge of water in the air in the aircraft, reducing the ventilation volume by fresh air, and enhancing the environment in the aircraft without increasing any engine load or energy consumption.
Air extracted from an engine 1 cooled by a cooling device is introduced in a cabin 8. Carbon dioxide is separated from a carbon dioxide selection transmission membrane from air in an air passage to introduce air flowing out of the cabin 8 to the cabin 8 again. Water contained in the air in the air passage is adsorbed by an adsorption unit 83. Water adsorbed by the adsorption unit 83 can be introduced into the cabin 8. Carbon dioxide is discharged out of the aircraft through the carbon dioxide transmission membrane.
