To provide an aircraft recovering method capable of easily installing a net for recovering an aircraft in the air, and preventing the recovered aircraft from being detached and fallen from the net.
An aircraft recovering device having a floating body, at least two supporters for connecting the floating body to a reference surface, and a recovering net stretched between the supporters is provided at a landing point. A hook is mounted on the aircraft at a predetermined position. The aircraft is allowed to enter the recovering net provided at the scheduled landing point, and the fall of the aircraft body from the recovering net is prevented by catching net yarns of the recovering net by the hook. The recovering net is vertically movable by a traction body. The mesh of the recovering net is determined so that the numerical value multiplying the breaking elongation rate of the net yarn by the inner peripheral length of the mesh is smaller than the peripheral length of a fuselage at a root portion of a wing of the aircraft to be recovered or the maximum peripheral length of the fuselage.
