Abstract:
To provide an alarm configured to properly update a control method, etc., without stopping essential function needlessly, while preventing adverse effect on notification function of the alarm.SOLUTION: An alarm 100 is configured to operate in accordance with an instruction included in built-in software SW, the alarm 100 comprising: a control unit 10 which controls notification function that monitors the surroundings and issues an alarm on the basis of a monitoring result; and a communication unit 20 which controls communication with an external device E. The software SW is built in so as to be updated via he communication unit 20 after the alarm 100 is started for use. The control unit 10 is configured to perform inspection operation for the notification function when the alarm 100 is supplied with power. The control unit 10 is configured, when the update relates to communication, not to perform the inspection operation at power-on after the software SW is updated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
