Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:An alicyclic epoxy resin shown by formula having ≤2ppm Na content, namely, 3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3',4'- epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate.
USE: An alicyclic epoxy resin having improved reactivity, providing a cured material having improved transparency.
PREPARATION: Tetrahydrobenzaldehyde is obtained by Diels-Alder reaction from butadiene and acrolein, then diene is obtained by Tischenko reaction and further the diene is subjected to epoxidation reaction with peracetic acid to give an alicyclic epoxy resin shown by the formula.
