To provide a packing apparatus by which potato sticks or others can be neatly aligned longitudinally in cups without being affected fluctuation of length and bending.

The apparatus comprises a unit for sending in turn the elongate foodstuffs 1 by aligning them longitudinally, an accumulating tool 2 provided at the outlet of the sending unit and a drive mechanism 13 for vibrating the accumulating member 2. The accumulating tool 2 is inclined so that the elongate foodstuffs 1 are packed at once into the container 7 attached to the foremost end portion (outlet) of the accumulating tool 2 after the elongate foodstuffs 1 are accumulated. The elongate foodstuffs 2 may be potato sticks. And further, the apparatus for alignedly packing the elongate foodstuffs 2 is particularly suitable for being used at fast food stores.
