Abstract:

To provide alkali-free glass with excellent productivity (especially devitrification resistance), and an efficiently high strain point and Young's modulus which reduces the production cost of the glass plate, and controls the heat shrinkage of the glass plate and prevents the nonconformity of the glass plate due to the deflection of the glass plate even if it is enlarged and thinned, in the LTPS process.

The alkali-free glass includes 55-80% of SiO2, 10-25% of Al2O3, 2-5.5% of B2O3, 3-8% of MgO, 3-10% of CaO, 0.5-5% of SrO and 0.5-7% of BaO in terms of mass% as a glass composition and the mole ratio of MgO/CaO is 0.5-1.5. It does not include an alkali metal oxide substantially and has a higher Young's modulus than 80 GPa.
