Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound excellent in storage stability or the like by specifying the total nitrogen content of the subject compound obtained by in a distillation of a specified alkyl alcohol as an azeotropic mixture with a specified compound.
SOLUTION: This compound is obtained by distillation of (D) a byproduct alkyl alcohol formed as an azeotropic mixture with (C) an alkyl amino(meth) acrylate of formula III which is produced by transesterification between (A) an alkyl (meth)acrylate of formula I (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is a 1-4C alkyl and (B) an alkylamino alcohol of formula II (R3 is H or a 1-8C alkyl; R4 is a 1-8C alkyl; R5 is a 1-4C alkylene); wherein the total nitrogen content of the subject compound is suppressed to ≤0.002 wt.% preferably ≤0.001 wt.%. The method for suppressing the total nitrogen content to ≤0.002 wt.% is e.g. mixing the subject compound with water and extracting basic nitrogen compounds into water.
