Abstract:

To provide an alkylbenzene sulfonate composition and the like which, while maintaining high detergency, are excellent in low foaming property and free of foreign odor.

The composition, which comprises an alkylbenzene sulfonate having an alkyl carbon chain length of any of 5-14, is characterized by containing 70 mass% or more of an alkylbenzene sulfonate having an alkyl carbon chain length of any of 6-11 and 5 mass% or less of an alkylbenzene sulfonate having an alkyl carbon chain length of 12 or more.
