Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain the corrosion resistance equal to the corrosion resistance of a surface treated material of an original material by subjecting the surface treated material consisting of a composite composed of zinc foil and tin-lead alloy foil layer to surface coating and joining at welding points.

CONSTITUTION: This surface treated material consists of the composite composed of the zinc foil in the upper layer part and the tin-lead allay foil layer in the lower layer part. The zinc foil of the upper layer part acts to prevent corrosion and the tin-lead alloy foil layer of the lower layer part acts to join the material to the welding points. This surface treated material is invented in order to prevent corrosion by the exposure of the iron base of the welding points when the surface treated material for galvanizing, etc., is used for the original material (base metal) and is subjected to welding. The zinc foil of the upper layer part of the surface material of the alloy foil layer exhibits an effect of preventing corrosion by a sacrificial anode effect. The tin-lead alloy foil layer part of the lower layer part acts to join (solder) the material to the welding points.
