NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1WR3 are H or lower alkoxy; R4 is lower alkyl; R5 is H or lower alkyl; R6WR8 are H, halogen, lower alkyl, halogeno lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; n is 2 or 3).
EXAMPLE: α-Isopropyl-α-[3-[N-[2-(4-methoxyphenoxy) ethyl]amino]propyl]-3,4,5- trimethoxyphenylacetonitrile.fumarate.
USE: A remedy for cardiovascular diseases, peripheral angiopathy and cerebral circulatory disorder having Ca+2 ion antagonistic, α-blocking and antiarrhythmic action.
PREPARATION: An aldehyde derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with an amine derivative expressed by formula III in a solvent, e.g. methanol, etc., and the resultant reaction product is then treated with a reducing agent, e.g. sodium boron hydride, to provide the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
