USE: Herbicide having excellent herbicidal activity against wide variety of weeds. Extremely high herbicidal effect can be attained especially by scattering the herbicide to the leaf and stalk of the weed at the early growth stage.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be prepared by condensing the compound of formula R1-CH2CN with the compound of formula IV in the presence of a basic catalyst. The compound of formula I can be converted to the compound of formula II by reacting with an acid anhydride, etc.
