Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved structure of a ventilation flue of a brush device.
SOLUTION: The alternator for a vehicle is provided with a recess 42 installed in either a brush holder 27 or a slip ring cover 33 and a partition section 43 which is installed in the brush holder 27 or the slip ring cover 33 which is not installed with the recess 42 and which is inserted into the recess 42 to partition the recess 42, forming a bent ventilation flue which communicates to a part where slip rings 21, 22 of a brush are in slidable contact with each other. Due to this structure, foreign matters can be prevented from entering the slip rings 21, 22 and the slidable contact section of the brush without using sealing rubber. There is no deformation of constituent components and so there is no reduction in size of the ventilation flue.
