To provide an aluminous sintered product having high tenacity, excellent in strength at a room temperature and a higher one and having high hardness, and also to provide a method for producing the same.
This aluminous sintered product is obtained by molding a mixture which is prepared by adding (i) at least one oxide having solid solubility selected from Ti, Mg and Fe, (ii) an oxide of at least one element selected from group III A elements and (iii) at least one oxide selected from group IV A elements except Ti to alumina powder, and by subjecting the solid solution oxide to solution-deposition treatment to form the aluminous sintered product where alumina crystalline particles are included as a main body, oxide particles including at least one of Ti, Mg and Fe are dispersed in alumina crystal grains, and at least one kind of element compounds from group III A elements and at least one kind of element compounds from group IV A elements except Ti are dispersed and included in alumina grain boundaries.
