PURPOSE: To obtain an Al alloy brazing sheet having high strength and superior corrosion resistance by using an alloy having a specific composition consisting of Zn, Si, Cu, Mn, Mg, and Al as a core material and cladding both sides of the core material with a brazing filler metal of Al-Si alloy and a sacrificial material of Al alloy, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.1-1.5% Zn, 0.2-1.5% Si, 0.2-1.0% Cu, 0.2-2.0% Mn, 0.05-0.3% Mg, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is used as a core material. One side of this core material is clad with a brazing filler metal of Al-Si alloy. Further, the other side is clad with a sacrificial material of Al alloy having sacrificial effect. It is desirable to use, as this sacrificial material, an Al alloy which has a composition consisting of 0.3-2.5% Zn and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and further containing, if necessary, one or more kinds among 0.1-3.5% Mg, 0.005-0.3% Sn, and 0.005-0.3% In.
