PURPOSE: To inhibit reduction in the strength of pure Al at a vapor deposition temp. and to improve the suitability to surface finishing by adding an element which takes part in a peritectic reaction to Al and regulating the amount of impurities.
CONSTITUTION: This Al alloy consists of, by weight, 0.035W0.55% in total of one or more among 0.01W0.4% Ti, 0.01W0.4% Zr, 0.03W0.4% Mo and 0.03W0.4% Cr and the balance Al with ≤0.5% inevitable impurities. Each of Ti, Zr, Mo and Cr takes part in a peritectic reaction with Al. The alloy may further contain one or more among 0.05W1% Mg, 0.05W1.5% Mn and 0.05W0.3% Cu. Reduction in the strength of pure Al at a vapor deposition temp. can be inhibited by adding said element which takes part in a peritectic reaction, and the suitability to surface finishing can be improved by regulating the amount of impurities.
