Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high Si aluminum alloy excellent in strength property, low in density and large in specific strength and specific stiffness.
CONSTITUTION: This aluminum alloy contains 4-25% Si, 1-4% Li, 1-5% Cu and if necessary, one or more kinds of 0.4-5% Mg, 0.1-0.8% Fe, 0.1-0.4% Mn, 0.01-0.1% Ti and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. The diameter of Si phase dispersing in the alloy matrix is preferably controlled to ≤80μm by adding ≤0.1% Sr, Na and P before melting and casting.
