Abstract:
To provide a heat treated type aluminum alloy containing low-melting metal for machining, capable of stably giving excellent machinability, and particularly chip treatability, and its production.
In the heat treated type aluminum alloy containing low-melting metal, the average grain size of main precipitates is specified to 20-100nm. Further, this aluminum alloy can be produced by performing, in the case where the low-melting-metal containing aluminum alloy of heat treated type is subjected to cold working and then to final heat treatment, cold working just before final heat treatment at 15-30% draft and also performing final heat treatment at 130-170°C for 1-24hr.
