Title:
ALUMINUM ALLOY STOCK EXCELLENT IN ADHESION TO POLYMERIC MATERIALS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6223953
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an Al alloy stock excellent in adhesion to polymeric materials by incorporating specific amounts of Be, Ca and Y into an Al alloy containing specific percentage of Mg, Mn, Cu, Fe and Si.

CONSTITUTION: The alloy has a composition containing, by weight, ≥0.01% Mg and, if necessary, 1 or ≥2 kinds among 0.05W1.5% Mn, 0.05W0.2% Cu, 0.05W1.5% Fe and 0.05W1.0% Si and having balance mainly composed of Al, to which 1 or ≥2 kinds among 0.0005W0.1% Be, 0.001W0.1% Ca and 0.0005W0.1% Y are further incorporated in a range of 0.0005W0.1% in total. In this way, the Al alloy stock effectively inhibiting the diffusion of Mg into the stock surface during the manufacturing process and excellent in adhesion to polymeric materials such as synthetic resin films, paints, etc., can be obtained.
