Title:
ALUMINUM-BASED METALLIC SHEET HAVING CORROSION RESISTANT COMPOSITE LAYER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3686575
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum-based metallic sheet having a corrosion resistant composite layer having corrosion resistance in a bare state and after coating equal to that of the conventional chromate film without using hexavalent chromium at all and further exhibiting excellent workability.
SOLUTION: This aluminum-based metallic sheet having a corrosion resistant composite layer is obtained by providing the surface of an aluminum-based metallic sheet with an intermediate layer with a thickness of ≤0.5 μm essentially consisting of an inorganic colloid and a IVA group compound and providing the surface of the intermediate layer with a resinous corrosion resistant layer with a thickness of ≥0.2 μm essentially consisting of a rare earth compound, an inorganic colloid and a resin.
