To provide aluminum etching foil capable of seeking both mechanical strength and height as the foil, while attaining an original purpose that the capacity of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is raised, and to provide its producing method.

The aluminum etching foil is obtained by electrolytic etching, where one pits are formed by extension in a fixed direction by respectively prescribed angles from the front foil surface toward the rear foil surface and other pits are formed by extension in a fixed direction by respectively prescribed angles different from those from the front foil surface toward the rear foil surface. The one pits and the other pits are in a state with the mixture of the pits to be mutually crossed in the foil and the pits to put through by aligning and extending in a vertical direction from the foil surfaces. Some of these pits are those to put through.
