To provide an aluminum melting furnace capable of efficiently providing high quality molten aluminum in a short time.

The aluminum melting furnace 10 is equipped with a melting furnace 12 melting solid aluminum 58, and a retaining furnace 70 retaining a state of the molten metal 60. In the melting furnace 12, a heating chamber 18 is formed by a furnace body 14 surrounding a crucible 36, and brown gas burners 32A, 32B are attached to furnace body side faces 14B. In the brown gas burners 32A, 32B, distances to a support base 16 are adjusted by a combustion controller 52, and heating temperatures can be controlled. When the brown gas burners 32A, 32B are burned and the support base 16 is heated, the crucible 36 is heated from a bottom face 36A. At the same time, since superheated steam is generated from water caused by combustion of brown gas in the heating chamber 18, a whole of the crucible 36 can be evenly overheated by the superheated steam.
