Title:
AMINATION OF 1,4-DIBROMOBENZENE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61171456
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a compound useful as a synthetic raw material of synthetic fiber, dye, antioxidant, etc., by reacting 1,4-dibromobenzene with ammonia in the presence of an acyclic saturated hydrocarbon and palladium and/or palladium compound.

CONSTITUTION: The objective compound can be produced by reacting 1,4-dibro mobenzene with ammonia in the presence of an acyclic saturated hydrocarbon (e.g. n-nonane, n-pentane, etc.) and palladium and/or palladium compound at 70W160°C and 10W250kg/cm2G pressure, preferably at 85W140°C and 50W250kg/ cm2G pressure.

EFFECT: 1,4-Diaminobenzene and 4-bromoaniline can be synthesized by this proc ess, or 1,4-dibromobenzene and 4-bromoaniline can be produced at the same time. The production ratio of both compounds varies with the reaction pressure and the kind of the acyclic saturated hydrocarbon. Since there is no by-produc tion of high-boiling material such as tar, the product can be separated and purified easily.
