Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject compound useful for the treatment or prophylaxis of cardiac infarct, angina pectoris, arrhythmia, ischemic conditions, apoplexy, shock states, atherosclerosis, late diabetic complications, carcinoses, fibrotic diseases, prostatic hypertrophy, etc.
SOLUTION: This compound (salt) is represented by formula I {one of R(1), R(2) and R(3) is Y-4-[(CH2)k-CHR(7)-(C=O)R(8)]-pnenyl; (n) is 0-4; Y is a bond, O, S or the like; R(7) is OR(10) or NR(10)R(11); R(8) is OR(12), NR(12)R(13) or the like and the others are H, a halogen, CN, a 1-8C alkyl or the like; R(4) and R(5) are each H, a 1-4C alkyl, F, C1 or the like}, e.g. N-t- butoxycarbonyl-4-[(4-guanidinocarbonyl-2-methylsulfonyl)phenoxy]phenylalanine represented by formula II. The compound is prepared by reacting a compound represented by formula III (L is a leaving group) with guanidine.
