Title:
AMINOCARBOXYLATE LIGAND HAVING SUBSTITUTED AROMATIC AMIDE MOIETY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2538165
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a metallic chelating ligand capable of forming a metallic chelate complex useful as a diagnostic agent by substituting nitrogen atom in an aminocarboxylate with a substituted aromatic amide group.
CONSTITUTION: This ligand is obtained by substituting nitrogen atom of an aminocarboxylate ligand capable of complexing with a paramagnetic metallic ion and forming a metallic chelate complex with a substituted aromatic amide group, e.g. a group represented by formula I [A1 is (CH2)m, or a single bond; R1 and R2 are each H, an alkyl, NO2, NH2, NHC(=S)NHR12, NCS, C(=O)NR3R4 or NR3COR9 (R3 and R4 are each H, an alkyl, an aryl, an alkoxy, etc.; R9 is an alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl; R12 is H or R9), with the proviso that R1 and R2 are not simultaneously H; R13 is R3 or R4; (m) and (m') are each 1-5], e.g. a compound represented by formula II. The ligand is complexed with a paramagnetic metallic atom and used as a relaxation enhancer for a magnetic resonance image or complexed with a lanthanide and used as a chemical transfer agent in magnetic resonance image and magnetic resonance in vivo spectrometry and further for forming a contrast agent for X-ray imaging, radionuclide imaging and ultrasonic imaging.
