Title:
AMMONIA DECOMPOSITION CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010194519
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a transition metal-deposited ammonia decomposition catalyst to be used in a method for decomposing ammonia or when hydrogen is produced from ammonia.

The transition metal-deposited ammonia decomposition catalyst is produced by adding phenol, formaldehyde and NaOH to a hydrazone compound to condensate the hydrazone compound and obtain a specific polymer having 1,000-500,000 molecular weight, coordinating a transition metal to the specific polymer to obtain a complex, adding a carbon nanotube to the complex, heat-treating the carbon nanotube-added complex at 360-900°C in a reductive atmosphere, and adding an alkali metal compound or an alkaline earth metal compound to the heat-treated complex.
