To provide an ammonia refrigerator provided with an ammonia neutralizing mechanism having a quite simple and compact configuration and capable of securely recovering ammonia gas leaking in a casing of this device.
A water tank 12 is provided in the casing 1 of the refrigerator provided with a refrigerant circuit using ammonia as refrigerant inside it. This ammonia refrigerator is provided with the neutralizing mechanism composed of an air suction means 31 for introducing air in the casing into a water feeding pipe 28 sucking water in the water tank, an air-liquid mixing means 32 for air in the water feeding pipe, and an air-liquid separation means 33 for separating water from air from the air-liquid mixing means, returning the separated water into the water tank, and exhausting the separated air outside the casing through an exhaust pipe.
