Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide amorphous Cu alloy coating or amorphous ceramic coating which can control the sticking of organisms such as algae or shells to the appa ratuses, pipings, structure and various kinds of water tanks for example in power plants through which sea water passes, or inhibit growth of saprophytes such as fungi or bacteria, further shows rust proof effect.

CONSTITUTION: This amorphous Cu alloy coating or amorphous ceramic coating is produced by adding ≥1.0wt.%, preferably 0.3 to 10.0wt.% of only amorphous Cu alloy powder containing ≥80wt.% of Cu and Ni as major components at a Cu/Ni weight ratio of 15/1 to 10/3, further containing 0.3 to 20.0wt.% of at least one selected from the group of Cr, Fe, Co, Zn, Ti, Zr, Nb, Ta, V, P, Ga, In and Ag as minor components, or a combination thereof with ceramic powder to conventional paintings.
