Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel form of levonorgestrel which is useful as an emergency contraception, and the like, a solid dispersion of levonorgestrel, a manufacturing method for the same, and a drug composition.SOLUTION: A solid dispersion of the invention is a solid dispersion in which levonorgestrel is dispersed into water-soluble cellulose ethers in an amorphous form. The water-soluble cellulose ethers contain at least one kind selected from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and hydroxypropylcellulose. The water-soluble cellulose ethers have a solution viscosity of 500 mPa or less in a concentration of 2% by weight and a temperature of 20°C.
