Abstract:
To improve energy efficiency by preventing deterioration in power transfer efficiency which is based on an operation mode.SOLUTION: An amphibious vehicle comprises: a vehicle power train which transmits, as propulsion force, power for traveling of the amphibious vehicle as a vehicle; a ship power train which transmits, as propulsion force, power for cruising of the amphibious vehicle as a ship; a buoyancy adjustment mechanism adjusting a state of buoyancy acting on the amphibious vehicle; and a control device controlling the buoyancy adjustment mechanism based on sensor data acquired from a sensor measuring a physical quantity correlated with the buoyancy acting state. On the basis of the sensor data, the control device determines whether the operation mode of the amphibious vehicle is a land mode of traveling on the land using the vehicle power train, or an amphibian mode of traveling over an amphibian boundary region using the vehicle power train or a ship mode of cruising on the water using the ship power train, and controls the buoyancy adjustment mechanism based on the determined operation mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
