To provide an amplifier and an amplifier module which can maintain high characteristics at high frequencies and a broadband by a simple constitution and at low cost.
The high frequency amplifier 1 has a high frequency amplifying element 35 provided on a substrate and amplifying an input signal, an output side matching circuit 22 provided on an output side of a high frequency amplifying element and adjusting impedance, a capacitance element 36 provided on the output side of the high frequency amplifying element in parallel with the output side matching circuit and connected to the high frequency amplifying element, and a harmonic processing circuit 37 having a plurality of inductance elements 34a-34d provided between the capacitance element and a ground pattern 23 and corresponding to different frequency bandwidths, and an MEMS high frequency switch 33 provided between the inductance elements and the capacitance element and which can be selectively connected to the output side of the capacitance element and the input side of any of the inductance elements.
