To realize frequency characteristics sufficiently available for extracting a luminance signal or a chrominance signal with satisfactory reproducibility in a relatively simple and small-scaled circuit constitution, for example, a recording/reproduction system for a VTR capable of processing only an analog signal without using and A/D converting circuit or D/A converting circuit which requires large amounts of hardware resources.
An analog signal processing system in which an input signal to be processed and an output signal of a processed result are both analog signals is provided with a frequency filter circuit (2) constituted of an analog delay circuit (20) for successively transferring the time discrete analog signals, and an analog arithmetic circuit (22) for weighting a plurality of delay analog signals (S2-Sn) extracted from the delay circuit with various delay quantities by prescribed transmission coefficients, and for mutually adding and subtracting those analog signals.
